Rust fungi are highly host-specific. Several garden plants are prone to rust infections for instance roses, pelargoniums, chrysanthemums, antirrhinum, carnations and several vegetables.
The symptoms of rust looks like a small pustule of yellow/orange/brown "dust" emerging from the leaf surface, that can be wiped-off with the finger.
